Between Phillemon Lacy of Chatham County and State of North Carolina of the one part and Robert Harden of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that … in consideration of the sum of five pound specia to him in hand paid by the said Robert Hardin … Phillemon Lacy … hath granted … a parcel of Land lying and being the County of Chatham East Side of Colllins Creek. Beginning at a dogwood saplin on the Bank of said creek running East along the County line to a post Oak in Benjamin Lacy's line thence Louth to a post Oak thence west as agreed line to the above named Creek to a red Oak and a Dogwood thence up the creek along the water course to the first station for complement containing sixty acres of land be the same more or less together with all rights...
