Chatham County, NC Deed book G page 101 9 Sep 1791 This indenture made this ninth day of September in the year of Our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Ninety one between William Hardon of the County of Moor and State of North Carolina of the one part and Samuel Stuart of the Couty Chatham and state aforsaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Harden for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and thirtey pounds in hand paid ... hath granted ... all that tract or parcel of land laying & being in the County of Chatham and State aforesaid and on the Waters of little Brush Creek buting & bounding as follows Beginning at a Hickrey on the North side of Sd. Hardans improvement and running along Thompsons line West one hundred and eighty three pols to a Hickre on Greves line thence down the seam south fifty three pols to a red oak at Greves Corner. then west along his line across said creek one hundred and eighty six pols a pine then south two hundred and sixtey nine pols to a post oak then north three hundred and nine pols to the first station.
