Deed Joseph Dukw..th To John Harden for 195 acr.

This indenture made and concluded the twenty fourth of Octber the Year of Our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and seventy four between Joseph  Dukworth Inst. of Cumberland County and province of North Carolina of the one part and John Harden of the same place planter of the other part Witnesseth: that the said Joseph Dukworth for and in consideration  of the sum of seventy pounds proc[lamation] money ... conveys and confirms unto the said John Harden ... a certain tract or parcel of land containing One Hundred and thirty five acres lying and being in Cumberland County South of Deep River. Beginning at an Elm on the River? Bank near about John Carrolls land and thence No. 60 Wt. 44 chains and 73 links among a ___ Oak Hickory and pines ____ Thence No. 10 E. 44 chains and 73 links to a stake ___ a pine from___. Thence So 80 E. to and Beyond a Hickory to the ___ bank 42 chains and 50 links then Down the river to the Beginning containing 195 acres ... In witness whereof the said Joseph Dukworth have hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the Day and Year above Written.
