The plan of aa tract of land surveyed October the 20th, 1778 for John Hardin lying on both sides of the east & middle forks of Hunting Creek, Waters of the Catawba River. Bounded by land of George Killion, Richard Burgess, Matthew Kuykendall, Erasmus May, Mordecai Sutherland, G.S. Hardins small survey. Beginning at a small post oak in said Killions upper line twenty poles west of the middle fork of said Creek, Thence with Burgess land south one hundred and seven poles crossing said Fork to a small white oak, then south twenty seven Deg. East thirty poles to a pine on a ridge, then with Kuykendalls land south seventy six & a half Deg. East one hundred and fifty poles to a small hickory. Then south thirty eight Deg. East fifty eight poles crossing the East Fork to a small white oak on the So. side of a meadow. Then South fourteen degrees east one hundred and fifty one poles Crossing said Creek three times to a pine in said May's lower line fifty six poles east of his No. West corner, then with said Line No. Sixty eight degrees east one hundred & forty two poles Crossing said creek and a fork of said Creek to a stake in Sutherlands line then north with said line fourteen poles to Sutherlands No. West Corner stake, then with his east line ten poles to a stake, then north three hundred and twenty eight poles to a stake & pointers fifty five poles east of the So. East corner of said Hardins small survey. Then west to said Corner and with said Line two hundred & sixty five poles to a hickory tree on the bank of the east fork of said creek, then north forty two poles to a birch oak in George Killians line, then with said line south fifty two dec.
